This week was July 4th and also my first week of teaching, which I’m using as an excuse to not write a post this week (also I’m quite tired from early mornings and last night’s post-10 pm Seattle fireworks). However, I will make it up to you–
Next week, I’m attending the big national/international conference on food safety, The International Association for Food Protection Annual Meeting 2018. This is a glorious mix of food industry reps, government food safety people, and academics from all over the world presenting their research on food safety, food microbiology, food safety communication, and crazy new technology for detecting pathogens in food. My plan is to post at the end of each day about the crazy new things I’ve learned about food safety and food microbiology, so keep an eye out.
Happy belated 4th, and happy reading!
